This is the modern university map of Kazan State University. The Russian name of the university is "Kazanskiy Gosudarstveniy Universitet" -- abbreviated at the top as KGU (Cyrillic letters use Greek gamma = G and "Y" = "U." The Butlerov Chemical Institute, where Klaus performed his work, is identified by "3" (toward the southern end of the university area). The same building still stands.
